Ramadan is comming up and i would really like ur assistance. i am going to do each fast up until the last day but i currently do not know how to pray properly. is there any guidance i could have on this matter please. thanks
Answer:

I commend you for your decision to revert to Islam. I pray to Allah to strengthen you in your faith and help you to remain steadfast on it.

Prayer is no doubt the most important pillar of Islam; it is our connection with Allah, our Creator and Lord, the path to peace, and the key to salvation. So learning how to pray correctly, in both form and spirit, is the first step towards practicing Islam. In the absence of a teacher, you may do well to read a good book on salah. Let me recommend two books you should try to get and study:

1.The Complete Idiot's Guide to Understanding Islam, 2nd Edition by Yahiya

2. Islam in Focus by Hammudah Abdalati

You are also advised to get Pray As You Have Seen Me Pray (DVD), which is available from Soundvision.com.
