Question: When we give Zakah to certain charities they issue tax receipts. Is it permissible to use these tax receipts when filing income tax (i.e. because this money was for zakah and we are getting benefit back from it in the form of tax being lessened)?
Answer:

Take the receipts and give away the deductions that you are eligible to receive in charity.

You are not allowed to make use of deductions you receive from your zakah contributions for your own self, although you may benefit from the deductions you receive for other charitable donations.
